Briefing by the "Institute for the Development of Education in the Governing and Communications "CAPITAL"

Should everyone strive for the digital era and the post-industrial world?

The digitalization does not create new energy or materials, it is only an optimization of the control system, indeed. Only every second project of Industry 4.0 is successful and competitive!

September returned the world community to active discussions about the development of the smart industry in business and social life, the era of universal digitalization, and artificial intelligence. Participation in several international forums in Singapore, Moscow, and Minsk made it possible to understand the trends in Internet of things for people and enterprises, the process of the fourth industrial revolution, big data management and educational needs.

Today all the nations of the world in developed, developing and countries of transition economies, are absorbed in these processes and trends. Authorities at all levels, industries of both civilian and military purposes, the XYZ generation, which today have more than five and a half billion smartphones in their hands, are looking for their way to adapt to the new post-industrial world. The Capital Institute, which conducts communications around the world through education and management consulting, takes advantage of the comparative analysis of foreign and domestic interest in industrial and social transformation, and will periodically share innovations through briefings. ENSO's proposal to speak at the cross-industries summits in Moscow, on September 2019, “The Industry 4.0. The Digital Plant ”, as well as“ Strategies and Technologies in the Oil, Gas, and Chemistry of Industries ”, with the“ International Review of Risks and Related Problems (Cybersecurity, Labor Protection, Political and Trade Crises), brought great mutual interest and additional research incentive for the parties involved. ".

For presentations at such prestigious congresses, the following studies were used: Ph.D. students of American University “LIGS University” working in various industries around the world; master students of the Higher School of Finance and Management of the Russian Presidential Academy; English-language magistracy of the Belarusian State Economic University.

The practicality of applying theoretical knowledge was consolidated from the concepts of GK Capital, integrated with models of the Scandinavian consulting group “SPROF” in industrial operational diagnostics, and the corporation “Oracle”, demonstrating the prospects of Big Data, the development of IT, machine learning and network 5G. We express our gratitude to all partners for information and cooperation.

The most significant interest of the Capital Institute is in the convergence of international approaches and concepts on the opportunities and potential of Belarus for partnership and investment. Our methodologies in management consulting and education are forming by the synergy of interdisciplinary knowledge and interdisciplinary communication competencies. That allows you to objectively assess the conditions for the digital transformation of industrial enterprises, civil society entities, and projects of individual countries.

The Belarusian Industrial Investment Forum (September 17-20, 2019) showed the desire not only of the leaders of Germany and Japan but also of small countries, Belarus, Slovakia, and others, to a global digital future. The possibilities for implementing such a program are varied and very difficult for all corporations and countries.

For example, even industry leaders in Belarus cannot afford, financially and legally, investments in digital transformation comparable to corporations in Germany, the USA, Russia, China and Japan. Every year, hundreds of billions of dollars are spending on the smart industry, and only half of the projects achieve the planned results. Due to the missed structural transformations, Belarusian society, as many other nations are not adequately prepared yet for efficient implementation of the Smart City, Smart Nation programs, which, for example, are confidently being pursued in Singapore, Scandinavian, and other countries.

At the same time, many innovations in modern private and international companies are developed and tested and exported by Belarus. The desire of the industrial community, government, business, and civil society should be evaluated by the real resources of the economy and finance, adhering to the pragmatic strategy of each enterprise and citizens of the country. Most countries in transition, seeking independence and national identity, have the same trends: in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America.

Therefore, before embarking on the costly and risky platform of universal digitalization and artificial intelligence in industry and the social sphere, it is necessary to revise the values of traditional technologies, evolutionary transformation within the life cycle of a human, a product and an enterprise. Only simple steps are most effective, and education and exchange bring clarity of vision!

The first briefing better to conclude with the words of the Ambassador of Slovakia to Belarus: “It should not strive to be ahead of the future process, neither should lag! In everything, harmony might be sought, struggling with the bureaucracy and incompetence that stifles business and innovation. Seek mutual understanding and cooperation through language, culture, and respect the expression of national values”.

We will be grateful for your reaction and cooperation.
